The Trust has three themes for grant giving:
- Community & social welfare: supporting long-term positive change in the lives of disadvantaged people and their communities, focussing on care leavers, people with disabilities, homeless people, ex-services people and victims of slavery and human trafficking
- Education & training: enabling children and adults to fulfil their potential, focussing on narrowing the attainment gap, improving essential literacy and numeracy skills, and empowering young people to engage with education and training
- Heritage: to restore neglected buildings and monuments, especially smaller charities which offer employment or volunteering opportunities for local residents.
Grants can cover core funding.
