• Royal Navy & Royal Marines: supporting serving personnel and reservists of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines, as well as their families. The aim is to help improve their quality of life.
• Youth: Providing positive opportunities and support for disadvantaged and marginalised young people, enabling them to make use of their talents, build self-sufficiency and confidence, as well as providing tangible, long-term outcomes.
• Education: providing educational opportunities and support. Also provide funding for special needs schools and colleges to help their students transition to higher education.

Some of the following can be funded:

• Project costs (if the project directly impacts beneficiaries).
• Capital projects which include new buildings, extensions, refurbishments and recreational spaces.
• Salaries when for personnel employed specifically to deliver the project.
• Projects that help organisations be more efficient and focus on their core objectives (e.g. it projects, moving services online, and projects that improve access to existing support, such as helplines).
• Equipment e.g. sporting equipment and furniture.
• Events which directly impact grant beneficiaries.
