The Asylum Seeker Mental Health and Wellbeing, UK-wide Therapeutic Support Expression of Interest (EOI) for a grant funding opportunity has been launched with a deadline of 10 January 2025 11:59pm.
The intention is to award grant funding for 12 months from April 2025.
The Home Office is considering the award of grant funding for projects that improve the mental health and wellbeing of vulnerable asylum-seeking adults, before they receive their substantive decision, and as they progress through the asylum journey. It is expected that funded organisations will achieve the following delivery outcomes, however this list is not exhaustive:
- Improved Mental Health and Wellbeing
- Greater access to and use of mainstream mental health provision
- More access to information and services
- Improved connection to local communities
- Improved feelings of safety
- Asylum Seekers report being better able to participate with their application.
The Home Office welcome a broad range of Civil Society Groups to apply for funding through this grant scheme, which may include but not be limited to the following types of organisations: Charities, Non-Governmental Aid Organisations (NGOs), Non-Profit Organisations (NPOs), Private Voluntary Organisations (PVOs), Civic Groups, Community Foundations, Community Organisations, Religious Organisations, Social Enterprises, Support Groups, and Community Interest Companies (CICs).
