Supported Accommodation – what does good support look like?

Hull City Council is working with Forum to find out how people in supported accommodation feel about the support they receive. We are holding a series of focus groups, which will be safe, non-judgmental spaces for people to share their experiences.

The groups are for anyone who lives in, or has recently lived in, non-contracted supported housing. This means living in accommodation provided by organisations that receive enhanced housing benefit on behalf of their tenants. If you aren’t sure if this applies to you, don’t worry – just contact us.

If you work for a charity or community group, and have any service users that you think would be able to take part, please contact us. We can also run a session at your premises if you feel that would encourage participation.

The sessions will be held in Forum’s unit on the 2nd floor of Princes Quay Shopping Centre. We will provide lunch at each session, and a £15 shopping voucher for everyone who takes part. We can also help with transport. If you would like help to get there, please call Pippa Robson on 07791 040433, or talk to your support worker.

The dates and times of the sessions are:

  • 20th August afternoon – 1pm till 3pm
  • 22nd August morning – 10.30am till 12.30pm
  • 29th August afternoon – 1pm till 3pm
  • 12th September afternoon – 1pm till 3pm
  • 1st October morning – 10.30am till 12.30pm
