Support available for Social Enterprises in the Humber region

The Business Growth Scheme (BGS) has commissioned CERT to deliver a programme of bespoke support for Social Enterprises in the Humber Region, including 1-2-1 Mentoring Support and Social Enterprise focused workshops.

Established Social Enterprises can access bespoke support for a range of needs, for example:

  • Become financially robust and able to fact the future
  • Take advantage of growth opportunities
  • Access a wider range of markets and opportunities
  • Develop new products and services
  • Develop assets
  • Increase employment opportunities
  • Manage volunteers more effectively
  • Undertake succession planning

The Social Enterprises will need to register with the Business Growth Scheme but this does mean that they can also access the wider Growth Hub support, including workshops, masterclasses and grant funding.

The organisation will also need to commit to receiving a minimum of 12hrs support, with at least 6hrs being 1-2-1 support, before the 31st March 2023. There will also be a requirement to take part in a review meeting 3-months after the completion of the 12hrs of support.

CERT have been commissioned to deliver support with 30 Social Enterprises and to date have engaged 10, the remaining 20 places will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to eligibility checks.

Social Enterprises who do not want to commit to the full 12hrs support programme can still access support through the Humber SEA workshop programme, although priority for places will be given to organisations that are engaged on the main programme.

Go to SEA Workshop E-Brochure (with CERTS contact details) and Humber SEA A5 Leaflet_FINAL_GB2  for more information on the (full day) workshops.  Anyone who is interested can still book on to these.
