Kinston Upon Hull eligible for Family Hubs and Start for Life programme

Hull is one of 75 upper tier councils that are eligible to receive a share of the £301.75 million fund to deliver the Family Hubs and Start for Life programme, a programme jointly overseen by the Department for Education and the Department of Health and Social Care.

The programmes are focused on helping local authorities to support families and work in partnership with voluntary, community and faith sectors to: help families overcome barriers to access help; identify health or safeguarding risks early; and reduce health and education disparities. This investment will enable eligible local authorities in England to transform their services into a family hub model.
