Funding supports community venues in raising awareness of energy efficiency, carbon monoxide safety, and the Priority Services Register (PSR)
Background
The Cadent Centre For Warmth Project for North Lincolnshire is provided with funding from Cadent Gas and managed by Community VISION. The project will run to 31 March 2026.
Objectives of Fund
The funding is for community venues (for example community centre’s, village halls, faith organisations etc) to support their activities and raise awareness of energy efficiency, carbon monoxide and the Priority Services Register (PSR) to users of their services and/or members of the community.
Community Venues across North Lincolnshire are now invited to submit applications for the 2025/26 fund.
Who Can Apply
Applications are accepted from organisations running community venues in North Lincolnshire.
Organisations include
- Registered charities
- Parish councils
- Social enterprises
- Community interest companies (CICs)
- Community groups
- Charitable companies limited by guarantee
- Charitable incorporated organisations (CIOs).
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Already provide activities for the community from their venue.
- Have a minimum of two people that will undertake Energy Champion Training provided by Community VISION.
Applicants are required to:
- Inform via discussions a minimum of 100 individuals over the life of the contract on energy efficiency, carbon monoxide and the Priority Services Register (PSR).
- Support applicable households to sign up to the PSR.
- Distribute leaflets provided by Community VISION relating to energy.
- Distribute free carbon monoxide alarms where required (provided by Community VISION).
The following are optional:
- Share social media posts regarding energy from the Community VISION page
- Provide sessions on how to use slow cookers and distribute slow cookers (provided by Community VISION).
