The Liaison & Diversion Service aims to reduce re-0ffending by supporting those who have come into contact with the Criminal Justice System. We have staff based in Police Custody to screen offenders, who refer onto support staff. We intend to utilise volunteers to provide a befriending style and mentoring service through one-to-one support with lived experience peer support volunteers students and graduates who are or have studied related subjects to do the same. Community Links has teamed up with Inspire North and Foundation and works in collaboration with Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust to deliver this initiative which is intended to be facilitated initially over a six year period. Community Links is primarily a Mental Health Charity offering a number of projects intended to improve mental health and wellbeing across Hull and the Humber.
