The Warren are recruiting a part time Youth Centre Cook for 20 hours per week (typically 10am–2pm, Monday to Friday).

The Youth Centre Cook will lead the café at The Warren. They will be responsible for preparing daily hot meals for young people, managing all aspects of the kitchen, and building positive relationships with young people.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan and cook a hot, nutritious meal each day for young people accessing the service (Vegetarian and non-vegetarian)
• Take full responsibility for the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness at all times.
• Manage food stocks, place orders, and coordinate with local agencies (e.g., Fare Share) to source ingredients and reduce food waste.
• Build positive relationships with young people, encouraging engagement and participation.
• Maintain accurate records of training, attendance, and food use.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and food safety regulations.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to support the broader goals of The Warren
