The Drax Foundation was established in 2023 to provide grant funding for non-profit organisations that share the Drax commitment to improving equitable access to STEM education, community green spaces, and renewable energy.
It is the charitable entity of renewable energy company Drax Group (Drax), which operates in the UK, USA and Canada.
The Drax Foundation is a donor advised fund set-up by Drax Corporate Limited (“Drax”) and operated on Drax’s behalf by the Charities Trust (an independently registered charity with the UK Charity Commission, Charity No. 327489).
Objectives of Fund
The funding is for projects and programmes that deliver lasting socio-economic change in the regions where Drax operates. Drax prioritises organisations that can demonstrate an in-depth understanding of local conditions, and who represent the diversity of their local communities.
