Engaging people and communities in service design
Project Introduction
The Lived Experience Project works to ensure people with multiple unmet needs are involved in service planning and system change, in partnership with Hull City Council’s Changing Futures team
Forum’s Lived Experience Co-ordinator works with the Changing Futures multi-agency team as well as the wider voluntary, community and social enterprise sector, engaging people who have lived experience of issues like homelessness, addiction and mental health problems to make sure their voices are heard and valued.

The Lived Experience Co-ordinator works with stakeholders to:
- Map the range of lived experience initiatives across the city and explore best practice
- Recruit and support people with multiple unmet needs to ensure their voices are heard
- Demonstrate the impact on systems and services when people with lived experience are involved
- Support Hull’s ambitions to build a trauma informed city
