Sector Connect Hull is a partnership between Forum and Hull CVS with the aim of helping community groups, charities and social businesses to thrive
Based in our Hull office, Forum's team work with Hull CVS colleagues to provide a wide range of capacity-building support, training, strategic voice and representation, and safeguarding training and advice.
The Neighbourhood Network has recently been in receipt of support and insight from Pippa from the Sector Connect Hull team, and can attest to her exceptional professionalism, knowledge and dedication to sector development. Her acumen and advice will prove invaluable in helping our charity move forward navigating complexities such as ‘being tender ready’ and writing successful business cases.

What we do
The Sector Connect Hull team provides tailored support in partnership with Hull CVS to the VCSE sector on the following:
- Setting up and managing community groups, charities and social businesses like Community Interest Companies
- Resourcing projects and activities through funding advice
- Recruiting and supporting volunteers
- Demonstrating the impact of their work
- Developing good safeguarding practice and robust policies
- Bidding for commissioned work and understanding the commissioning environment
- Answering one-off queries on anything and everything
