Our mission is to intervene early to improve wellbeing and provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. We campaign locally with our partners to improve services and reduce stigma and discrimination.
Hull & East Yorkshire Mind was founded in 1976 and has over 40 years experience in providing mental health services to people in Hull and East Yorkshire.
The organisation is a registered charity, and a company limited by guarantee. It is affiliated to National Mind in London through an affiliation agreement, but receives no income in support of its operations from National Mind. Although an independent, autonomous organisation, Hull & East Yorkshire Mind is one of 140 Local Mind Associations that have agreed to support the mission and values of National Mind and strive to reflect them in its governing documents and its work.
Our vision is that we won’t give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets both support and respect
