Humberside Fire & Rescue Consultations

The Fire & Rescue services for the Humberside region have published a consultation are seeking feedback from the public to help shape their future service. Below you will see the following information on behalf of Humberside Fire & Rescue:

1. Our community consultation (Community Risk Management Plan)

Our Community Risk Management Plan outlines the risks within our communities and the actions we take to manage and reduce them. This plan also details the high standards of service you can expect from us whenever we respond to emergency incidents. The consultation covers a range of topics, including:

  • How we adapt to evolving needs to keep our communities safe.
  • Responding to changing demands with the right vehicles and equipment.
  • Exploring how to reinvest by releasing unused assets.
  • Improving how we plan for emergencies with better use of data and predictions.

2. Our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Priorities

We want everyone in our organisation to feel welcome and valued. We believe that different ideas, backgrounds, and experiences make our teams stronger and better. Every four years, we set out our equality priorities. It’s now time to create our new priorities and we need your help.

These priorities will be aims for our Service, helping us create and check specific actions.

3. Our portion of Council Tax

For the 2025/26 financial year, we are asking if you would be willing to increase your contributions to help support your fire and rescue service. Additional funding would allow us to maintain the high standard of services we currently provide, while investing in our plans to make sure we are prepared to meet future needs and risks.

Options include:

  • £2.93 (2.99%) increase per year (Band D)
  • £4.99 (5.09%) increase per year (Band D)
  • No increase or propose an alternative amount

Take a moment to make your voice heard and help us shape a safer, stronger Humber region.
