VCSE Workforce Mapping: Focus Group – Hull 23rd May

Earlier this year the VCSE collaborative at the North Yorkshire and Humber ICB alongside team of researchers from the University of York carried out a large mapping exercise of the whole voluntary, social enterprise and community sector workforce in the Humber and North Yorkshire.

They conducted a survey and targeted follow up interviews to map trends across the sector and identify the scale of the workforce. We are now looking to explore some of the trends in more detail with a series of focus groups.

Your organisation may not have filled out the survey, but there are still  spaces available at focus groups next week and they are looking to open participation to a wider range of organisations. Focus groups will look at recruitment, retention and turnover of staff and volunteers as well as issues around service delivery, partnerships and funding.

The focus group will be in Hull on May 23rd beginning with a provided lunch at 12:30pm, then followed by the focus group discussion from 1:30-3:00pm.

While the ICB focus is on health and wellbeing, they are looking to understand the activities, challenges, and workforce for charities, community groups and social enterprises of all sizes and focuses, from street mutual aid groups to village halls to social enterprises working on the environment.
