Community Transport Service for Sale
Sent on behalf of Joanne and Andrew Spivey, Driving Miss Daisy West Hull:
The owners of the Driving Miss Daisy West Hull franchise are putting the business on the market. Driving Miss Daisy provides an amazing and much needed service within the community. While it is not currently set up as a not-for-profit organisation, it may be possible to explore moving the service into an existing community transport or general community organisation as a trading arm or project.
The owners have asked Forum to share the following information:
“We have enjoyed growing this business from the beginning as we came out of the last lockdown. We have some very special clients on our books who use us repeatedly. We form special relationships with so many of them and they come to trust and rely on us for all hospital and medical appointments, shopping trips and general companionship. It is a great feeling to enjoy your work while making a huge difference to people’s lives.
Are you seeking the chance to become your own boss, with the freedom to set your working hours and manage your own schedule? Imagine having the autonomy to take charge of your agenda, all while making a positive impact in your local community by assisting individuals with their transportation needs.
This business is well established and has a strong local reputation, a loyal client base in a niche but much needed market and the potential for growth is huge.
As a self-employed companion driver with Driving Miss Daisy, you will have the opportunity to engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds, hear their stories, and help create lasting memories while enabling them to continue enjoying life when they are unable to transport themselves.
We offer comprehensive training to equip you with the necessary skills, and you will also be supported through the process of obtaining your private hire driving license as part of the onboarding process.”
