The Children and Young People’s Trauma Informed Care Programme have published new dates for the upcoming training beginning October 2024 running through to March 2025. There is a mixture of sessions on offer and across all six places.

You will notice that some of the training sessions say venue TBC, this is because we are still waiting for confirmation from venues. However, you can still see which Place each session will be held.

The training is a short targeted 45 minute training session for anyone who has direct or regular contact with Children and Young People, who may be affected by trauma (even if this is not known about)

The aims of the training are to:

  • Define Trauma and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and the potential impact of it on people.
  • Understand Trauma Informed practice and care and how we can respond more effectively to support people
  • Identify sources of support for yourself and professional colleagues

All training is provided for free to services providing support to Children and Young People.
