Mental Health Awareness Week
Sent on behalf of Hull Safeguarding Children Partnership:
This week is Mental Health Awareness Week (12 – 16 May 2025) and this year’s campaign is focused on the power of community to support good mental health and wellbeing. Community is something that can have a positive impact on children, young people, and family’s mental health, and is a foundation of multi-agency working across the wider partnership to support and safeguard those families to thrive.
Hull Safeguarding Children Partnership would like to raise awareness and show support for our children, young people, families, and colleagues by taking part in the `Wear It Green Day’, a campaign that is taking place on Thursday the 15th May 2025 as part of Mental Health Awareness Week. The purpose of Wear It Green Day is for practitioners to wear green to show their support and raise awareness around this issue. We are encouraging partners to share this information with colleagues to get as many people involved by wearing something green and sharing your photos to raise awareness across Hull.
As part of this colleagues in children’s services will be hosting a session at Acorns Family Hub on Thursday 15th May 2025 between 11.30am-12.30pm which will allow colleagues to meet and engage with Mental Health First Aiders and enjoy some refreshments and take some time to have a relaxing walk in a local park to encourage the power of community and raise awareness of positive mental health and wellbeing. If you wish to attend, please could you contact [email protected] by end of play to ensure that there are enough refreshments for everyone.
