According to research published by the Institute of Fundraising (IoF), just over 40 per cent of people have a positive view of fundraisers, with less than 20 per cent holding a negative view, and 78% of the general public thought raising funds for charity was important of which
- Young people were more likely to agree that it was important
- Women and disabled respondents were more likely to strongly agree that it was important
- And Asian respondents and Muslim respondents were less likely to agree
The poll was conducted by YouGov on behalf of the IoF, and sampled over 2,500 adults across 10 days between April and May.
