Welcome Centre, Hornsea – open meeting

By December 10, 2019Local News

The Welcome Centre, Hornsea is a newly formed community group made up of a collaborative partnership of community groups in Hornsea. It has been formed to seek the use of the existing library building in Newbegin when the library service moves to the refurbished leisure centre in April

They are seeking to repurpose the building as a community asset for use as a community space encouraging volunteering and providing training and support for groups and individuals. The project was formally opened this week with the first phase of CPR training in partnership with the Smile Foundation.

They are holding an open meeting on Wednesday 18th December between 10am and 12 noon in the first floor meeting room of the library, with festive refreshments, for groups and individuals to meet members of the team and some of the course facilitators. They welcome project ideas and help with planning for the New Year.
