Green Team Trustee
About the job
The Green Team is an unincorporated independent registered charity set up to:
- Advance the education of their volunteers in horticulture skills and practices by providing training and
- Improve the quality of life of older and disabled people who can no longer look after their own gardens. They do this through the provision of an affordable, quality gardening service, using a team of local volunteers.
The Role of a Trustee: Trustees have overall control of a charity and are responsible for making sure it is doing what it was set up to do. Trustees provide leadership and are the people who decide how it is run. They act out of a desire to help people and make positive changes within the community. Many charities pay trustees’ expenses, so they are not ‘out of pocket’ for what they do.
