Centres in Hull and Manchester have officially reopened and are back to the new normal. They have given careful thought to how to apply government and NHS PPE guidelines to their driving assessment service to keep you and them safe, and the new safety procedures have been scrutinised and approved by their stakeholders (Department for Transport, DVLA, Motability). For more detailed information about the new assessment procedures and any queries please contact the Manchester office as they are continually re-evaluating the procedures as the government advice evolves: 0300 300 2240 or email@example.com
As you can probably imagine the Hubs project has had to adapt too. The need to stay connected with your community is even more important now and the impact of social isolation and loneliness is more relevant than ever. Please find attached their revised information leaflet below
They are keen to contribute to finding solutions to help people stay connected whether it be physically with guidance on how to use public transport safely, knowing your rights using private hire cars, or exploring whether a mobility scooter would meet your needs; or virtually by helping you to link up with other services.
Kirsty Flint, Specialist Occupational Therapist in Driving Assessment for the Community Mobility Coordinator (HUBS Project) is here to listen and offer mobility advice for Hull and East Yorkshire.
