The East Riding of Yorkshire Council (ERYC) is aiming to hold a pre-market engagement event in February/March 2020, at County Hall, Beverley for the provision of Independent Advocacy Services, which currently includes the following services;
- Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA)
- Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy (IMCA) including a Relevant Persons Representative (RPR) service – This service may also receive additional instructed requests as part of Court of Protection processes for a Litigation Friend.
- Independent Care Act Advocacy including Carers’ Advocacy
- General Advocacy – The Council also provides a non-statutory service, which compliments the above services.
The aim of the event will be to help contribute to the development of a new model and service specification for the provision of independent advocacy within the East Riding of Yorkshire, to ensure the Council fulfils its statutory duties. The Council would like to invite potential providers to use the email address below to express their interest in attending such an event. Details of the proposed event will be finalised in January 2020 and circulated to those providers who have expressed an interest.
Please note this exercise will not form part of any pre-qualification or selection process. It is not the intention of the purpose of the ‘Event’ to confer any advantage upon its participants in any future procurement process. This therefore does not represent a commitment for the East Riding of Yorkshire Council to award a contract or issue an invite to tender to any provider that expresses an interest during the event.
