Deadline 1st November
Trinity Methodist Church, Barton upon Humber are looking to recruit for this post. This is initially a three-year project to identify, engage and support the elderly and vulnerable people in Barton upon Humber and the surrounding villages.
There is growing evidence that elderly people are increasingly isolated and vulnerable and as a result, experiencing problems with mental and emotional health. Barton upon Humber is a small community spread over a rural area with growing numbers of elderly residents. We therefore want to reach out to the retired and elderly members of our community to offer an inclusive, engaging and vibrant programme of activities that connects them with the church, each other, the wider community and encourages discovery of a vibrant spirituality that is appropriate to their age.
The post is for 20 hours a week over three years and offers a salary of £12,480 per annum.
To be successful in this post you will have at least three years’ experience of working with elderly or other vulnerable groups and will have a proven track record of project development and delivery.
You will have experience of networking with other services and be able to design and deliver a recruitment campaign to raise awareness of the project and encourage the elderly to get involved including undertaking a consultation exercise.
You will also be required to identify and recruit volunteers to support the project.
