Grants are available to registered charities for work related to the law and the legal profession in the UK. This covers projects that promote human rights, access to justice, and legal education.
This is a highly competitive grant scheme. The charity receives far more applications than it ‘could possibly meet’.
Grants are normally in the range of £5,000 to £15,000.
Grants are usually awarded on a one-off basis, but can occasionally be spread over two or three years.
The funding is intended to support charitable work that relates to the law and the legal profession and will only support charitable organisations whose projects promote:
- Human rights
- Access to justice
- Legal education
