Hull Fairtrade Fortnight

Starts 24th February

Hull is proud to be a Fairtrade City, and Fairtrade Fortnight 2020 is almost here. The Hull Fairtrade Partnership Group would love you to get involved and show your support for Fairtrade.

Fairtrade Fortnight runs from Monday 24th February to Sunday 8th March, and this year’s campaign focuses on all chocolate fans and fighters for fairness! In 2020 they will continue their mission to ensure that all farmers are paid fairly for their produce and are able to earn a living income, starting with cocoa farmers in West Africa.

Fairtrade Fortnight is a chance for you or your organisation to show that Hull supports Fairtrade. You can do this by doing something as simple as making sure your tea and coffee is Fairtrade even if it is just for the fortnight, or by giving your meetings, team meetings, events, lunch clubs, for example, a Fairtrade theme. If you need ideas, have a look on the Fairtrade Foundation website which also has some free resources for you to use.

Find out more about what others are doing locally by visiting their Facebook page

If you are planning to do anything for Fairtrade Fortnight please post the details on the Facebook page or send details to Sharon.clay@hullcc.gov.uk  and if you use Twitter you can tweet using the #fairtradehull.

You are also invited to the Fairtrade celebration 2020 at the Guildhall on 26th February
