Healthwatch is the independent consumer champion in Hull for health and social care, giving people a powerful voice both locally and nationally.
Healthwatch Hull provide an Independent NHS Complaints Advocacy Service for the citizens of Hull that supports residents who have an issue or complaint about any aspect of their NHS treatment or care.
The NHS independent complaints advocacy service is a flexible, person-centred service that will empower and support anyone who wishes to pursue a complaint about services provided or commissioned by the NHS.
The core purpose of the service is to ensure that people who use services have access to the support they need to clarify and articulate their concerns, to navigate the complaints system and to pursue a resolution.
Healthwatch Hull’s Vision is to create an inclusive system of working which gathers opinions and experiences from a diverse group of patients and service users from the local community. We can then feed that information back to commissioners and providers of services. This in turn will help to shape, and continually improve the services that are delivered locally; we are here to find out what matters to local people and to give them a collective voice.
