Deadline 12th November
The Grassroots/ Richard Weare Endowment fund is made up of donations to the Government-funded Grassroots Grants programme (2008-2011), which increased donations by 100%.
The most significant contribution to the scheme was from The Richard Weare Charitable Trust, founded by the late Colonel Richard Weare JP DL. We are proud to honour this contribution in the grant scheme’s name.
Today these two funds, together with other donations, have created a permanent endowment that will benefit our communities today and for years to come.
Amount of Funding Available: Up to £3,000
Eligibility: Applications will be accepted from small mainly volunteer led, charities and voluntary and community groups with a total income of under £30k per annum (in the last reporting period) for projects that:
- Support personal development, education or training
- Assist groups providing care and support services to reduce social isolation
Applications to this fund will be assessed on an on going basis and decisions on awards in 2018 will be made in March, June, September and December. Deadlines for applications to be considered at each meeting will be 12th February, 14th May, 13th August and 12th November. Applications received after these deadlines will go forward into the next decision making meeting.
