About the funding

This new Community Justice Fund aims to assist organisations in tackling the barriers posed by unfair structures, systems, and limited resources and opportunities within society, all of which contribute to social injustice.

Comic Relief are looking for organisations that are:

  • Led By and For organisations and movements who are working to tackle the injustices that lead to poverty at a structural level. This could include work to change systems, policies and practice to prevent poverty experienced by minoritised communities in the first instance.
  • Specialising in racial and or/gender justice.

The project proposals will need to focus on work that focuses on the prevention of poverty. This could include:

  • Influencing and advocacy focusing on improved outcomes for the communities you support.
  • Early intervention services and support for communities, that influence practice, systems and behaviour change.
  • Or a combination of both.

The fund is core/flexible funding.
