The Hull Safeguarding Adults Board Learning Event
October 8 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
The programme for the day
Learning from East Sussex Safeguarding Adult Review 9.30-11.00
This case evaluates multi-agency responses to the death of a man aged 64, from Kent, who was living in a care home with nursing in East Sussex, commissioned by NHS West Kent Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG).
Adult A died as a result of systemic sepsis, infection of his legs, diabetes and cirrhosis. He was subject to Deprivation of Liberty (DoL) in his best interests as he was deemed to lack mental capacity to decide where to live. There were concerns of self-neglect as he often refused care and treatment.
ReNew presentation – 11.00- 12.30
ReNew will provide a presentation on their Hull’s Alcohol offer, which will provide information on the Alcohol offer in Hull Royal Infirmary, within the Community Alcohol Hub (including community detox options) as well as across the city via their Engagement Team. This will consist of what they provide, how referrals are received and the support offered.
Please ensure you arrive in good time to allow for refreshments and comfort breaks prior to the start of the event.
(Presentations are not usually available in advance, but will be issued to attendees post event, subject to availability)
