Safeguarding Adults Partnership Board: Learning Event

The programme for the day will provide the following presentations:

  • Adrian Elsworth, Unplanned Mental Health Lead with Humber Teaching Foundation Trust, will provide a presentation on his service areas, specifically information on the Mental Health Response Service and Mental Health Liaison Service. This will consist of what they provide, how referrals are received and the support offered. Adrian will also provide an update on the Hull and East Riding Crisis Care Concordat work and its strategic objectives.
  • Ben Hanson, Housing Strategy Programme Leader, with Housing Strategy and Renewal Team, Hull City Council with provide a presentation on Housing, homelessness and the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 – Making homelessness everyone’s business .   The session for those outside of the homelessness sector provides a clear outline of the HRA 2017, the duties placed on partners as a result and how it all works (or should work!). There will be ample opportunity for questions/discussion and individual sessions with partners thereafter can be arranged.
  • NatWest (Hull & East Yorkshire) Community Banker,  Amanda Smith  will present on Friends against Scams:  covering how to spot different types of scams and how to protect yourself from becoming a victim.
