Recruiting Safely and Fairly Employing ex-offenders to address the skills gaps in construction

A FREE employer event for construction industry stakeholders
Mind the Gap are delighted to start working with their friends in the North in November.
In partnership with Offploy CIC and Humber LEP they will kick start their activity in Hull with a free half-day legal briefing and networking event for employers and key stakeholders in the construction industry to provide the necessary tools, confidence and support to access a talent pool of 11 million people with convictions.
The event, sponsored by Keepmoat Homes and Prestige Recruitment Specialists, will feature a legal briefing on recruiting safely and fairly delivered by Dominic Headley
Key speakers include.
- Jacob Hill, Managing Director, Offploy CIC,
- Amanda Scrimgeour, Employment and Skills Manager, Humber LEP,
- A senior representative from MoJ New Futures Network (TBC)
There will also be an Employers Panel Q&A featuring Vicky Black, HR Manager, Prestige Recruitment Specialists, Dean Thomas, Contracts Manager, Intertech Contracts UK; and a large construction industry employer.
A buffet lunch and networking follows at the end of the formal part of the event.
