Mental Capacity Act 2005 (MCA) and Deprivation of Liberty Policy and the new PiPot Protocol
June 7 @ 9:30 am - 12:30 pm
One event on June 7, 2018 at 9:30am
You are cordially invited by North East Lincolnshire Council and Clinical Commissioning Group to a jointly hosted event. The event will serve two functions: firstly to let you know about the refreshed Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Deprivation of Liberty Policy, and secondly to introduce you to the new PiPoT Protocol. They will highlight key changes within the refreshed policy, and consider with you how this might impact on your practice, with a view to supporting you to deliver legally compliant and improved quality care. The PiPoT presentation will provide insight into the protocol for managing allegations against people in a position of trust (PiPoT) and the role of the newly introduced Designated Adult Safeguarding Manager (DASM) within the Council. You will have the opportunity to listen, and to apply what you have heard to some practical scenarios.
Please contact Claire Parfrement, Business Support Specialist for the Safeguarding Adults Board, to make your booking, preferably by emailing email@example.com or alternatively by calling 01472 323076/ 01472 326118. Places are offered on a first come first served basis.
