Making Every Contact Count (MECC)

January 15 @ 9:30 am - 12:30 pm

£10 - £16

Instead of relying solely on medically trained staff or public health professionals, MECC  recognises the huge potential of the wider workforce.

The approach uses the everyday contacts people already have by providing training and preparing staff to Make Every Contact Count. These conversations should be based on positive engagement with a focus on the persons needs and not directing them towards a course of action.

The three main principles of the MECC approach are to:

  • Be person centred
  • Work with individuals and communities from their perspective.
  • Stay on the persons agenda

It will include sections on:

  • Active Listening
  • Behaviour change
  • Motivational Interviewing

We will require payment in advance in order to secure booking.

We operate a 7 day notice period to cancel a booking. The payment will not be refunded on failure to attend the course without at least 7 days’ notice.

Payments can be made via  Bank transfer: Account number: 20192697 Sort Code: 60-83-01 Bank: Unity Trust, Birmingham – Please use MECC Training as your payment reference

If you are unable to pay by Bank transfer please put PLEASE INVOICE in the notes field when you check out and you will be invoiced.
