Humber, Coast and Vale Dementia Event
March 19 @ 9:30 am - 3:30 pm
Humber, Coast and Vale Partnership are hosting a workshop to explore the challenges dementia poses locally and to look at ways to tackle these challenges.
The session will be led by Prof M A Mohammed, Professor of Healthcare, Quality & Effectiveness, University of Bradford. If you have an interest or expertise in this area, please come and join the event.
The workshop has been designed by the Yorkshire and Humber Academic Health Science Network and will take the form of a “Systems Thinking session”, which will highlight key lessons that leaders need to be aware of to help them become effective system leaders, and deliver required priorities.
The day will include highly interactive sessions exploring challenges in the Humber, Coast and Vale Dementia system and how Systems Theory can help us address them. Finally, we use established improvement methods to define a small number of system-wide challenges and look at the resources we have to meet these.
They are keen to include representation from across the Humber, Coast and Vale area including:
- Local Authorities
- Voluntary Sector
- Care Home and Domiciliary Care Sector
- GP Leads
- Specialist Mental Health Teams
- End of Life specialists
- Acute Hospital representatives
Your input will influence the improvement projects developed for the STP moving forward.
The workshop will take place on Monday 19 March 2018, 9.30-3.30pm, at the Mercure hotel, Willerby
