Salary: £18,000 per annum, temporary contract, ending March 2021
Shifts: A variety of shifts operating between these hours. 7:00- 15:00, 14:00-22:00, weekends and mixed working patterns are a requirement for this role.
This role is responsible for delivering additional intensive support to rough sleepers in the East Riding, targeting new and entrenched rough sleepers and focusing on proactive signposting, assisting direct access accommodation options, health interventions, and liaising with agencies that support welfare needs. This role is pivotal in linking the most marginalised rough sleepers into short term accommodation. The aim is to reduce rough sleeping. This role involves training and supporting Emmaus companions and volunteers to become effective outreach workers, ensuring collectively that the East riding is well covered, teams are visible and proactive in all activities. Emmaus report directly to the local authority and the candidate will be responsible for all reports on all activity. All reports being comprehensive and weekly tracking is accurate and submitted to partners in a timely manner.
