Mosaic Community Hub operates from within Mosaic Church and is designed to be a place of hope and help within our community. We have a free play area for under 5’s, a cafe, charity shop, access to a Parish Nurse for health advice and check-ups, plus other activities throughout the week. We currently open Tues/Wed/Thurs 10am-2pm during termtime. We also run ‘MakeLunch’ during the school holidays, providing hot and healthy meals for primary aged children who are eligible for free school meals during termtime. This is to help alleviate holiday hunger and the issues surrounding this within families.
Weekly drop in for anyone with or affected by MS at North Hull Community Centre, 10am – 2pm. Social sessions with lunch (there is a cost) and an opportunity to access therapies (there is a cost).

With a variety of activities on offer, we really to think there’s something for everyone and we’re always open to suggestions! Our shed is very much guided by our members and will naturally evolve as it develops.

Timebanking is a mechanism of exchange where the currency is time. One hour contributed equals one time credit paid. One of the largest timebanks in the UK, we have over 700 members and have exchanged over 17,500 hours exchanged. Offers and requests are diverse from companionship to craft groups, to language lessons, to diy to yoga.
A digital local currency in which VCS organisations and statutory services can give a digital credit to those they are working alongside in communities. These credits can then be exchanged on discounts on local good and services
Rehabilitation, mentoring, befriending, advice, and supported housing for vulnerable people
Formerly known as HERIB (Hull and East Riding Institute for the Blind), this is a support service for people with visual impairment inclusive of other needs (hearing impairment, brain injury, stroke, autism, leaning disabilities) Provides opportunities for social interaction, including transport if need be. Accommodation for those with low level support needs 22 x 1 bedroom flats, 1 x 3 bedroom flat

Services for disabled children, young people and their families. Including early years groups, play and leisure, advice, information, support and advocacy and a range of parent training and support programmes.
We are a local charity giving support to people recovering from mental health problems or who are socially excluded. The charity began as a project recycling old timber into garden furniture. This remains our core activity as well as gardening, giving people the opportunity to meet people and make new friends whilst learning new skills in a calm stress-free environment.
Yoga Therapy Hull uses the therapeutic adaptation of Yoga and Mindfulness to improve physical health and mental well-being adapted for all ages and levels of experiences in classes, workshops, retreats, and one-to-one sessions.
As a qualified Yoga Teacher, with additional training as a registered Yoga Therapist (CNHC), I work with a range of common medical conditions and under the General Medical Council’s guidance to doctors, they can refer patients to practitioners on the CNHC accredited register also for social prescribing, on which Yoga Therapy Hull can be found.
Under the other name of YoYogaSoul, we also work to improve the mental and physical well-being of pupils and staff in primaries, schools and colleges having over 20 years experience in education delivering mindfulness and yoga
As a Yoga Therapist (CNHC accredited) under the General Medical Council’s guidance to doctors, patients can be referred to myself on the CNHC register. I work with Chrysalis BICM on brain injury rehabilitation, the NHS Recovery College and a range of groups supporting health conditions with adaptive therapeutic yoga. As an experienced qualified educational teacher of 20 years, I am able to support children and young people through Yoga and as an Mindfulness educator working for an international charity, Mind with Heart. I have worked with young carers and foster children in supporting their well-being as well as the mental health of children and teens in schools.
Breeze cycle rides are free rides for women, led by a volunteer leader (Breeze Champion). The rides are designed to encourage women to take up, or return to, cycling

The Green Ginger Garland dancers from Hull, East Yorkshire, established more than 35 years ago, are a ladies’ side with a varied repertoire including French garland dances, north-west Morris, rope dances and even some of our own creations. We regularly dance at local and national events all year round. We practise in the school hall at St Vincent’s RC Primary, Queens Road, Hull, every Thursday (apart from August) between 7:30pm- 9:30pm

Downright Special is a charity which supports children with Down syndrome in Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire. We assist families and professionals in all aspects of the care, education and development of children with the condition.
Hull & East Yorkshire Mind was founded in 1976 and has over 40 years experience in providing mental health services to people in Hull and East Yorkshire.
The organisation is a registered charity, and a company limited by guarantee. It is affiliated to National Mind in London through an affiliation agreement, but receives no income in support of its operations from National Mind. Although an independent, autonomous organisation, Hull & East Yorkshire Mind is one of 140 Local Mind Associations that have agreed to support the mission and values of National Mind and strive to reflect them in its governing documents and its work.

Activity/social/craft/friendship/lunch clubs for older people. Signposting, information, befriending (short term)
We provide 4 lunch groups per week at the Commonwealth Homes Community Centre in Hull. Transport can be arranged. We have grand plans to expand our service across the East Riding.
Our Activities are for over 65’s and our intent is to prevent isolation and Loneliness in the community.
Individuals are matched with a Volunteer Mentor, to support and enable individuals to independently engage with and work towards goals to gain independence in their community. The support offered is extra support on top of the services working in Hull to combat existing homelessness. Goal setting, confidence building, assisting with tasks such as housing applications, attending appointments and battling isolation are a few of the tasks our Volunteer Mentors take on to support Mentees.
Home From Hospital Service originated, from a research audit and needs analysis undertaken in 1993/94. The community audit was completed by 5000 households and informed the structure and content of the project – i.e. free short-term 6-8 week support for older people on discharge from hospital: The aim to assist vulnerable people through a period of convalescence to continue confidently in their own homes.
All services and projects are maintained through constant recruitment and training of volunteers. All volunteers are DBS checked, trained in health and social care skills, and are fully insured. Many move on to full employment or higher education and they receive an excellent quality of education and support from qualified staff.

Resource centre for local history and family history
We are a community centre that provides a safe inclusive environment for over 120 Deaf members. We also assist with communication and interpreters and provide access to many facilities that would otherwise be restricted from the Deaf community, e.g., welfare, GP’s, Solicitors etc.
