Adult Health and Social Care provider, delivering employability services
Services to young people aged 9-25 across Hull’s West Locality including open access youth sessions, outreach/detached work, single sex sessions, domestic abuse awareness sessions, employability groups, sports and drama/dance. We also rent out rooms to groups.
Youth Employment Initiative funded Projects: DO IT project, Create to Change and Single Parents project –
Our projects engage with young adults aged 16- 29 years. A key worker will help them meet their personal, social, educational and employment goals and identify and overcome any barriers that they may fOctagonace in life such as financial, mental health and housing issues through internal and external provisions. We offer a wide variety of activity and support across our projects including workshops, training and placement opportunities both paid or voluntary and our flexible programme is designed to support those out of work or education and engage them into something meaningful. Catering, radio, employability skills, ESOL, music, arts and sport are just some of the activities that members can engage with. We are a social and therapeutic weaving studio providing vocational training, meaningful work and enterprise skills to adults with additional needs, including learning disability, autism spectrum conditions, mental health conditions and physical disability.

Supporting people with mental health problems of all kinds from anxiety and depression through to severe and enduring conditions. This is through a series of 4 workshops covering confidence building, anxiety management, effective communication and positive future building. The groups are small in numbers, usually a maximum of 6 people. One to one support is also given to people who are not ready for group work.
