Children and Loneliness

By July 10, 2018National News

The NSPCC has released figures which show that Childline counsellors delivered 4,636 counselling sessions in relation to loneliness in the year April 2017 to March 2018, a 14% rise on the previous year.

Figures show that almost 80% of sessions were with girls, some of whom shared concerns about the harmful effects of social medial use and how comparing themselves to others online made them feel increasingly isolated.
