“We are sad to inform you that the result of the recent tender process for the provision of non-clinical community sexual health services means that Cornerhouse (Yorkshire) will no longer be providing this service across the city.
“Cornerhouse has delivered this type of service for the past 30 years and as I am sure you will understand we are extremely disappointed with the decision. The successful organisation was MESMAC.
“Cornerhouse will work closely with MESMAC to ensure the smooth transfer of service delivery. There will be a period of uncertainty until we know which roles and staff will transfer to the new provider.
“However, Cornerhouse is VERY MUCH OPEN FOR BUSINESS and will still be delivering services through the following projects: CARE (CSE), ReachOut (Street based provision for young people) and HeadStart Hull Young People’s Peer Mentoring Project. We will also continue to run the Step Out group (Young people’s LGBT+) in partnership with the Warren. This means we will still be accepting referrals and will continue to work with you in partnership to ensure that the young people of Hull get the support and services they need.
“In addition to the above, the CEO and Trustees of Cornerhouse are discussing the way forward and the potential development of new and exciting initiatives that will be developed to meet the identified needs of young people in Hull and the surrounding areas.
“We will work hard to ensure we communicate effectively with you and to keep you up to date on future developments as we believe that good communication is the mainstay of positive relationships and effective partnerships.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all your support in enabling Cornerhouse to deliver effective sexual health services over the years and we look forward to continuing our journey alongside you.
