Igniting the local food movement and increasing local production

Join us to learn about the potential direction Hull’s food system can take, what is happening locally and how you can get involved. There will inspiring talks by the Kindling trust and Frith Farm.

Chris Walsh will be explaining how the Kindling Trust set up a range of projects related to sustainable farming in Greater Manchester including a Farm Start project, Veg Box people, Manchester Veg people, a land army and the positive results this has had on their local food system.

Ben Allwood, director of Frith Farm (www.frithfarming.com), a community supported agriculture scheme on the outskirts of Beverley will be talking about the work of the farm so far, it’s aspirations and the launch of their new trainee grower scheme.

The evening talk will be followed by a discussion and vegetarian food.

This talk is free and open to all.
