Awareness training from Guide Dogs for the Blind
March 19 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm
Guide Dogs are working with East Riding of Yorkshire Council to promote an understanding in our community of what it is like to live with sight-loss. The aim is to create communities that are empowered to support visually impaired neighbours and relatives to live their lives without barriers.
One of the ways they are going to do this is by offering free visual impairment awareness and sighted-guiding training across the county. The action packed 2 ½ hour session builds empathy, answers the questions we are too embarrassed to ask and should leave participants feeling more confident to offer support to our visually impaired friends.
Refreshments will be provided. If you would like to take up this offer please let them know how many places you would like to reserve, as an idea of numbers will help them to plan activities.
If you have any queries and to reserve a place contact Suzanne Allott
